Jazz @ St. Louis Bulldogs.  Has been re-scheduled for September 29, 2007 in St. Louis per the NAFL due to inadequate facilities.

Gentlemen,

This email will serve as your official notification and conclusion of a formal complaint filed with this office regarding inadequate playing conditions at the designated game site for Saturday's  contest between the above mentioned affiliates of the league.  Contest date July 21, 2007. 

A summary of the complaint is posted below:

"To my understanding this "park" does not possess the necessary means to hold a Minor league football game contest.  It does not have light, no game clock, no shower facilities, which are basic amenities for any football contest even POP Warner leagues posses these qualities.  Do we want to have this game rescheduled in St. Louis at a later date with facilities of normalcy?  yes we would."

I have talked with both team owners via phone today.  I am of the understanding that the normal facility the Bulldogs plan to play in had a water main break yesterday.  The event was so unusual as to make the news in the St. Louis area.  This occurrence was in no way predictable nor the University's decision to cancel use of the facility following this incident.  Had this not occurred the game would have been scheduled and played in a facility meeting all guidelines established by the North American Football League for hosting an NAFL contest.

In checking the schedule, it appears that both teams have an open date on September 29, 2007.  With that being said, and no suitable alternative available for this office to preserve the original contest date, it is hereby ordered by this office that tomorrow's contest be cancelled.  The official NAFL schedule be updated listing today's date as an open date for both clubs, and the schedule reflect a September 29, 2007 date for the contest between the two above listed clubs in St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. at a field to be determined.
